Mobile hoods to install on the worktop
Our mobile hoods allow optimal organization of work geometry.
They are easy to deploy on a work surface.
Their filtration system allows operation in internal recirculation without fixed installation for external rejection.
They process a significant number of solvents and chemicals.
FAQ – Tabletop Fume Hoods (HI1P / HI3P / HI5P-HEPA-V)
What are tabletop fume hoods used for?
FTM tabletop hoods are designed to capture fumes, vapours and light dust directly on the bench when a full-size cabinet is not needed.
They are ideal for electronics, small solvent handling, resins, glues, inks and school / lab workstations.
What is the difference between HI1P, HI3P and HI5P-HEPA-V?
- HI1P → front horizontal visor that pushes pollutants downwards, very efficient on volatile products and light solvent fumes.
- HI3P → wider capture area for larger workpieces or two-hand operations.
- HI5P-HEPA-V → tabletop hood with HEPA filtration for particles + integrated lighting + transport handle for moving the hood between benches.
All three models share the same FTM filtration logic (pre-filter + main filter) and the same power supply.
Why choose the HI1P instead of the HI3P?
Choose the HI1P when you mainly work with volatile products (solvents, alcohols, cleaning fluids): the horizontal visor drives the fumes downwards and improves capture efficiency in the operator’s area.
Choose the HI3P when you need more working width or when the part hides the airflow.
Do they all have built-in lighting?
Yes. HI1P, HI3P and HI5P-HEPA-V are supplied with integrated lighting to improve visibility on the work area.
Do they all have a carrying handle?
No. Only the HI5P-HEPA-V features a transport handle, to make it easier to move the hood from one bench or room to another.
What filtration stages are available?
Tabletop hoods use the same FTM approach as larger cabinets:
- Pre-filter → protects the main filter.
- HEPA filter (on HEPA versions) → for fine particles, powders, aerosols.
- Activated carbon filter → for VOCs, solvent vapours and smells.
The exact filter set depends on the product to be handled.
Can these hoods be ducted to the outside?
Yes. All three models can be connected to an external exhaust through the rear collar if local regulations or the product safety sheet require it.
What power supply do they need?
All tabletop hoods run on a universal supply: 80–230 V / 50–60 Hz. This makes them easy to deploy in workshops, labs or training rooms.
What are the advantages of FTM tabletop hoods?
- Compact, lightweight and ready to use (“plug and filter”).
- Efficient capture even for volatile products (HI1P visor effect).
- Integrated lighting on all models.
- External exhaust possible on all models.
- HEPA version (HI5P-HEPA-V) for particle-sensitive applications.
