Resistance soldering tool : Soldering by joule effect .

Introduction:The resistance-soldering unit is a tool that supplements the usual soldering iron. Its advantage is that it supplies instantaneous localised heat to the work. This is accomplished by passing a highcurrent at low voltage through a resistance contact at the point of application. The current is in therange 30 - 40 Amps and between 1 to 4.5 volts.An electrode applied to the workpiece usually creates the resistance point.

Principle : The soldering operation consists of clamping the parts to be assembled and adding a solder alloy. The heating process starts as soon as the foot pedal is activated and the temperature rises to the set temperature point.

Benefits : Improved heat distribution, no component overheating, speed and mechanical unaltered.

Applications : connectors on semi-rigid bases, central contacts on coaxial connectors...
